The exercises, performed in groups, comprised\nevaluations of two case studies on diseases with different infection routes, followed by role-playing presentations by\nrepresentative groups. Fourth-year students participated in the exercises as learning assistants. After the exercise, a\nquestionnaire was administered to ascertain the overall trends in student learning. No significant change in the basic\nknowledge on standard precautions and infection routes was observed, but changes in the recognition of infection\nprevention behaviors were noted. Third-year students learned the following concepts: confirmation of previous learning and acquisition of new knowledge, methods to block infection routes to control the spread of infection, environmental\nmaintenance from the perspective of infection prevention, deepening the understanding of infection prevention measures\nthrough group sharing, formation of a positive attitude toward practical training, and deepening learning through advice from senior
