| 内容記述 | 要旨 : 現在，社会的な背景として学ぶ目的が明確でないまま進学する学生が増えつつある. これ対して「大学の学習内容を理解することで，進路選択に役立てる」「大学での学問の面白さにふれることで，学習意欲の向上につなげる」といった目的で本学ではサイエンスキャンプを実施している．このサイエンスキャンプは，オープンキャンパス等とは異なり目先の受験生獲得を目指したものではない． 本学の取り組むサイエンスキャンプは １．大学としての地元地域への社会貢献 ２．医科学・医療分野に興味をもつ若い世代の人材育成 ３．本学の施設利用と本学教員による直接指導 ４．実験実習を中心とした体験学習 これらを体験できるよう企画立案されている．今年で3回目を迎え，毎年8月に開講されている．対象者は地元福岡県内の高校1，2年生および中学校理科教諭である．中学校教諭を対象としているのは，その先生を通じて医科学・医療分野に興味を持った中学生たちが増えてほしいと考えたからである．メインテーマを「生命を科学する」として，毎年対象臓器を決定し，その臓器ごとにサブテーマが決められる．内容は実験実習を中心とした体験学習で，年々受講者も増えつつある． 社会的背景として「理科離れ」「学ぶ目的の不明確」を感じている学生が多い中，このサイエンスキャンプが，学問の面白さに直接触れる機会となり，受講者の中から医科学・医療分野に興味を持ち，さらには将来の科学者になりたいという人が育てられるよう、更なるブラシュアップを行っていきたい. The science camp the University is working on is planned to be able to experience the followings. 1. The contribution to the local community as an university 2. The human resource development of the young generation who are interested in the field of the medical sciences and the medical care 3. The usage of the facilities and the direct guidance by the faculty members of the University 4. The experience learning focusing on experiments and practical training This is the third year, and which starts in August every year. This is targeted at the first and second grade local high school students and the science teachers at local junior high schools in Fukuoka Prefecture. The science teachers at junior high schools become the targets because we are hoping more junior high school students become interested in the field of the medical sciences and the medical care through those teachers. Setting “To study the Science of Life” as the main theme, we decide the target organs and the sub-themes for the each organ every year. The contents of this science camp are the experience learning focusing on experiments and practical training, and the number of participants is increasing every year. When many students are showing a “disinterest in science” or experiencing the “ambiguity of the learning purpose” as the social backgrounds, we desire to brush up more this science camp so that it can give an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience of the fun of learning, and foster the persons who are interested in the field of the medical sciences and the medical care, and furthermore, who want to be scientists in the future, from the participants. |
