| 内容記述 | Overpopulation in China has resulted in A bstractproblems. The government has adopted a series of severe population policies to solve this issue. The need for a better developed economy has been used to justify the population policy. Clearly, the primary condition needed for China's economic development is to maintain control of the population, However, as a result of current policies, many acute problems have emerged, such as the aging of the population, female infanticide, and an unbalanced sex ratio. As the society becomes increasingly complicated due to rapid economic growth, it is necessary for China to adjust its one-way population policy to fit current circumstances. This paper will attempt to illuminate issues and problems surrounding population control in China. This paper examines : population change in modern China ; the future tendency of this change ; population-related problems ; present circumstances of the policy : and the consequences of the population policy and establishing new standards for this policy. Economically, population policies will be necessary for many decades to come. However, actual circumstances also requires that the Chinese government should modify the current population policies to some degree. When developing a new approach to the popaåation policy, it is imperative to consider current living standards, the economic structure among geographical regions and people’s edicational levels. |
