| 内容記述 | Since subsistence farming has been the characteristics of Japan's agriculture, the basic agricultural policy objectives have been the expansion of individual farming scale. This is because the expansion of individual farming scale, the structural policy, has been considered as the substance to balance the income level betweetl agriculture and other industries. In other words, agricultural policy has been based on the economical necessity. With actual circumstance changes, however, the basic needs for agriculture are also changing. Recently, the importance of agriculture stems from the environmental factors and the necessity for national security. Namely, Japan's agriculture is strongly taking on the character of public goods. Under these circumstances, Japan's agriculture has been facing serious problems such as the 1938) low-level self-sufficiency of food, labor force shortage and the devastation of cultivated land. This paper will examine the tasks for Japan's agncuÌture in the foreseeable future by reviewing these issues and the actual circumstances. |
